About this project

Australian Gas & Lighting (AGL), a major Australian energy provider was operating their document management system on local, on-premise servers, a setup that limited scalability, accessibility, and disaster recovery capabilities. As their business grew and regulatory requirements evolved, the constraints of their existing infrastructure were becoming increasingly apparent, particularly around remote access and system resilience.

We were engaged to lead the complete uplift of their document management ecosystem to Microsoft Azure Cloud. This migration involved careful planning to ensure business continuity throughout the transition, mapping existing workflows to cloud-native solutions, and implementing robust security protocols to protect sensitive customer and operational data.

As part of the transformation, we integrated DocuSign and OpenText platforms to modernise their document handling processes. These implementations enabled streamlined digital signature workflows, automated document processing, and improved compliance tracking, replacing manual, paper-based processes that had created bottlenecks across multiple departments.

The cloud-based solution delivered improved accessibility for remote and field-based staff, enhanced disaster recovery capabilities, and reduced ongoing infrastructure maintenance costs. The integrated platforms created seamless workflows for document creation, approval, signature, and archival, while maintaining rigorous security and compliance standards required in the energy sector.
