About this project

For more than 25 years, Officeworks have been passionate about helping their customers make bigger things happen at home, at school and at work. As Australia’s home for office supplies, furniture, technology and student supplies, they’re focused on delivering a wide range, low prices and great service for our customers. But they’re not just specialists in office supplies. Their extensive product range includes art supplies, facilities supplies, education resources and helpful services such as print and copy and on-site tech support through Geeks2U. With 167 stores Australia-wide, more than 40,000 products available on their website and business specialists in store and in our national call-centre, they’re delivering great service to their customers, and making the experience easy and engaging, however customers choose to shop.

Over the years, Officeworks have built a robust event tracking for both their website, mobile app & sales systems. They needed helping in extracting valuable insight from this data to inform their strategic decision making for future development. TMG Studios were engaged to identify areas of opportunity, provide clear, ingestible insight & bring to light all potential improvements. As part of this, TMG Studios streamlined existing reporting within the data & insights team to remove or reduce the manual effort required to produce reporting. We then went on to established the basis for future reporting within the organisation through training of best practices & up-skilling of in-house data analytics teams.

Finally, TMG Studios expanded Officeworks’ understanding of customer segmentation & user experience for the website & mobile app platforms. This has allowed Officeworks to deliver a more personalised approach for their users, targeting individual metric performance for future development.
